My journey in art started when a flamboyant teacher exclaimed with loud exuberance, “Darling, you simply must do art!” So I did! Beginning with a foundation course, then a BA(Hons) followed by a post grad teaching certificate. After all that, it was time to ‘do’ art out in the real world and so began my life as a self employed artist taking on commissions for designing and illustrating greeting cards, logos, advertising, plush and figurine designs, murals, and illustrating children’s books – as well as writing a few too. Ever eager to continue exploring art in all media I delved into digital art; which is a delight. However, nothing is more enjoyable than putting on an artists’ apron then taking a blank canvas, an array of colourful, textural art materials, a fist full of paintbrushes and just going for it….simply wonderful and wonderfully messy! …and joyously, my journey goes ever on; for an artist’s journey never ends….
