Classes are fun and friendly, a place to learn and make new friends. We offer a 3 hour class in the afternoon and an 2.5 hr class in the evening. You receive tuition and guidance from our excellent tutor allowing you to produce beautiful art using a variety of mediums over a 9 – 14 week period.
We start with pencil drawing, setting the building blocks of skills for the course. We then work with charcoal, chalk, watercolour pencils, watercolours, pastels & acrylic paint as well as introducing other mediums like Brusho, Gouache & Ink. The principles of drawing and painting are progressively practiced with techniques and subjects such as landscapes, still life, figure drawing and portrait. We use a variation of images, props & life models as inspiration for our tasks.
Classes are suitable for beginners & improvers. Our classes are immensely popular with many students choosing to return to do another course, hone and learn new skills, chat with friends & enjoy some ‘me time’. We provide well organised, well prepared, fun classes, nothing is too much trouble!
We pride ourselves on creating a sense of community in our classes, we believe the social aspect of art class compliments the tuition to create the perfect environment for creativity and friendship. The group celebrates their artwork each year with an annual exhibition. ColourWheel becomes part of your weekly routine and a highlight of your week.
FREE TASTER SESSIONS are offered throughout the year with the prospect of joining the following course. Don’t hesitate to call and reserve your place. No arm twisting, just 3 hours of fun, creativity and companionship with like minded people.
